This weekend I’m so excited to be seeing Once at the GORGEOUS Engeman Theatre. This is a musical based on the movie. It should be so beautiful and I will have my write up on BroadwayWorld posted next week.

And then next weekend is BROADWAYCON at the Javits Center!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG I am so excited to go again. It is over three days, but I’m only going on Saturday. I can’t wait to tell you about that!

Anywhoo, everyone enjoy the weekend! Lots of fun stuff is coming up!

HAPPY WEEKEND! #FridayFeeling

My latest on BroadwayWorld!! I Hate Hamlet at Port Jefferson’s Theatre Three!

This is such a hilarious show! I absolutely adore Theatre Three located in beautiful Port Jefferson. Such a great team there and I love the stunning historic building they are in. There are loads of things nearby, so you can make an afternoon out of it! I love Brewology just down the road from them.

Happy Holidays!

Wowzers! I can’t believe the year is coming to a close! Went by too quickly if you ask… anybody! LOL

2017 was a great year… well, for the most part… I choose to focus on the positive rather than the political BS.

Christmas went well! For Christmas Eve, the fam had a fantastic dinner at our favorite Italian restaurant call Mannino’s in Oakdale! And then we just congregated at my folk’s house for Christmas Day. OH! And we did a fun Christmas Eve-Eve with my Aunt. We had a great lunch from Saviano’s of Bohemia! DEEEEEELISH!

2017 Highlights include:

  • My awesome niece starting kindergarten
  • Seeing Queen with Adam Lambert at the Barclays Center (second time seeing them and my first visit to this relatively new arena)
  • Excursions the wineries (ESPECIALLY SPARKLING POINTE!!)
  • Going to see the gorgeous Rockefeller Christmas Tree (I will post pics soon)
  • Our annual excursion to Pop’s in Island Park
  • A lovely “Fake Thanksgiving” hosted and created by Debbie (she’s on WordPress here!)
  • Saw the BFF get married and buy a house
  • A fantastic outing to see Charlie And The Chocolate Factory on Broadway (sad that it is closing in a few weeks!)
  • Attended BroadwayCon and gearing up for a return visit in a few weeks

And, of course, last, but certainly not least, all of the FABULOUS shows I attended repping BroadwayWorld!! My write-ups are located here! And I cannot tell you how excited I am for the upcoming seasons!

Aaaaanywaaaaayz, Cheers to 2017!!!! I wish everyone a happy and safe New Years! Enjoy the celebrations and make it a great 2018!!!

Theatre Three’s Annual Production Of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol

I absolutely adore Theatre Three located in Port Jefferson. I truly feel they are a pillar of the Long Island theatre community. Their productions are always of great quality.

Their current production of A Christmas Carol, now playing its 34th anniversary showing, is a tradition for Long Islanders. This especially when they also have the annual Charles Dickens Weekend during the run of the show. The cast gets into their respective characters and strolls about the crowd.

One important thing that I am grateful for is the long run of the show (it is playing all through December). The cast is stellar every year and they are always looking for ways to switch things up slightly and even add new technology but still stay very true to the art.

Clever Little Lies presented by The Hampton Theatre Company

This is such a fun show! Very classic feel to it; no message… just smart, witty dialog and a great cast. Kind of like a TV show from the 50’s or 60’s. You can’t do any wrong when you see a show at the Hampton Theatre Company. They know their audience well and make wonderful selections for their seasons. Always a pleasure to see them!

Here’s my write up!

I’ll be in the process of the BroadwayWorld Regional Awards this week, so I think my next show is on 11/12 when I’ll be seeing Annie at the Engeman! Can’t wait!

See you soon!

Young Frankenstein at The North Fork Community Theatre

I am so thrilled I was able to catch the production of Young Frankenstein at The North Fork Community Theatre of Mattituck, Long Island. It is just a simple, fun, silly show and it is brilliant that they put it on their calendar near Halloween. It is a show where your spirits will be lifted and where you will laugh, which, in my opinion, is the best type of show. There is a lot of nastiness in the world right now and we have to remember that IT IS OK TO HAVE FUN. The theatre is absolutely adorable, too. They are currently in an ongoing renovation state, so it is great fun to watch them grown and enter a new chapter.

My next show will be next weekend (October 28th) when I see the Hampton Theatre Company’s Clever Little Lies at Quogue Community Hall. Can’t wait!

Enjoy your weekend!!

Happy Weekend!

If you want something really fun to do for the fall season, definitely check out Harbes (pronounced “har bees”). Based on the North Fork of Long Island, there are three locations; Mattituck, Jamesport, and Riverhead.

My friends and I went to the Riverhead location and it was a wonderful time They have an amazing pumpkin patch, apple picking, a full service food station, an area where kids can run around, a corn maze; It is a full day excursion! As adults, we didn’t spend but a couple of hours there, but I’d do it again in a heartbeat! (Added suggestion: If you’re not bringing kids, to complete the day, you can also hit up any of the local wineries – a must on the North Fork – which are short drives away). We decided to hit up our favorite Sparkling Pointe of Southhold!

An important thing to remember is each of the three locations are different. For example, Riverhead is only open on the weekends and the only one that has apple picking. So, you may want to hit up their web site to make sure which location is best for you. Another pro tip would be to get there as early as you can to avoid the height of traffic and get the best parking. I arrived at 10a and traffic was starting to build up quick. Props to the traffic directors guiding the cars. They are all located on Sound Avenue and that road gets LOADED UP. Check out http://www.harbesfamilyfarm.com/ for hours and other deets.

For this weekend, I’m headed out to the North Fork Community Theatre in Mattituck to see a fun production of Young Frankenstein! My write up for BroadwayWorld will be posted on Wednesday! 🙂

Have a great weekend!
